Leigh was born and raised in Southern Maryland and attended the University of Maryland. As a child, she was athletic, playing basketball and dancing. As a young adult, she began her interest in fitness, with an emphasis on weightlifting and boxing. She studied MMA under various coaches and instructors for several years, where she began to develop her passion for sharing her love for fighting sports and the conditioning they involve.
She's excited for the opportunity to share her passion for Boxing and Muay Thai with others!

Stacey, a Southern Maryland native, has been deeply engaged in the world of sports and high-energy activities since her early years. Her childhood was characterized by a fervent passion for anything motorized, from dirt bikes to go-carts, reflecting her love for speed and adventure.
Beyond the thrill of motorsports, Stacey also embraced diverse athletic pursuits. She spent time horse riding, playing softball, and engaging in field hockey. These activities not only honed her physical abilities but also instilled in her a sense of discipline and teamwork, essential qualities for any coach.
In her late teens, Stacey's adventurous spirit led her to Budds Creek, where she immersed herself in car racing. This experience in a high-pressure, competitive environment further developed her resilience and strategic thinking, skills that are invaluable in coaching.
Later, shifting her focus towards personal health, Stacey discovered a profound interest in kickboxing and boxing. Training under Leigh, she diligently worked to refine her techniques and understanding of these sports. Her journey through various disciplines has endowed her with a comprehensive understanding of physical fitness and strategy.

Eron, a native of Calvert County, has been immersed in the world of sports and martial arts from a young age. Growing up, he actively participated in a variety of group sports, including football, soccer, and notably, Judo. His dedication to Judo was evident as he progressed through the ranks, achieving the esteemed level of Sankyu, a brown belt, a title he proudly maintains to this day.
In his twenties, Eron's passion for power sports took a new turn. He delved deeper into the realms of weightlifting, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and the clinch combat techniques of Muay Thai fighting. This period marked a significant development in his athletic journey, as he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of these disciplines.
Today, Eron is enthusiastic about sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience. His journey through various sports and martial arts has not only shaped him as an athlete but also as a mentor eager to guide others. He looks forward to inspiring and training individuals who share his passion for the dynamic and empowering boxing, Muay Thai, and power sports.

Sam has been in the fitness industry for over a decade, starting her coaching journey in college at East Carolina University (Go Pirates!), and expanding her knowledge over the years in various personal training and group positions.
She is a mom to 1 little girl, 2 wild boys, and 2 dogs, as well as a full time project manager. She grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and after several state moves (Hawaii, Michigan, North Carolina), landed back in Maryland in 2021 to be around her family.
You will learn, Sam has a love for all things burpees, HIIT, and kettlebell training. She is a stickler for form and will be happy to help ensure you’re maintaining good form while still working hard. She can’t wait to meet you, push you (with a smile!) and help you realize just how capable you are!

Before stepping into the ring at SOMD Knockout Zone, Shan had explored everything from personal training to CrossFit and yoga. Despite his dedication, staying consistent with fitness became difficult as family life and a demanding finance career took center stage.
At 52 years old, with no boxing experience but plenty of heart, Shan walked into SOMD Knockout Zone ready for a change—and he’s never looked back. That was just over a year and a half ago.
Today at 53, Shan says he’s in the best physical shape he’s been in since his early 20s—only this time, with a strong foundation in nutrition and healthy habits that make his transformation sustainable and balanced.
Outside the gym, Shan juggles a fast-paced professional life, cherishes time with his family, and channels his passion into healthy cooking.
“I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember, but life, kids, and work slowly pulled me away. Now I’m back—and better. Fitness is no longer just a goal; it’s a lifestyle. I’m excited to combine my love of (healthy) cooking with my journey, to help others build their best selves.”
